Volunteering in the monitoring tour

Fukushima prefecture promotes "Hope Tourism" as a program for foreigners in and out of Japan to visit Fukushima. It addresses to solve the harmful rumor that spread after the nuclear disaster and to increase the exchange population in Fukushima. As a part of the series, from October 27 to 29, 2018, the "Monitoring tour to expand exchange with Fukushima" was held. Foreign students at Hiroshima University (a national university) learned about the developing materials from Fukushima and the results of some projects based on experiences of the nuclear disaster. Fukushima Tourism and Products Exchange Foundation organized the tour commissioned by Reconstruction Bureau of Fukushima.
The purpose of the program which focuses on "people (organization)" facing the revival of each area and "the real Fukushima (light and dark sides)" is that they interact with the people who struggle with the reconstruction after the earthquake and the nuclear disaster and that they feel the reality of Fukushima.
