I set up a base in Onagawa-cho because when I first came to the Onagawa town, the mood and atmosphere of the people I met was impressive. They had a positive atmosphere that they were up to any challenge, and they had a good sense of humor. Therefore, I decided to be here with my gut feeling that if I could fabricate things in this place, I would definitely make something great.
It is a town that is going to be reconstructed from now on, but I think it's more than that. I am attracted to the energy of the people here right now. In that sense, I will be able to challenge myself in this atmosphere. If I asked myself whether my challenge has been able to contribute to the community or not, the answer is that I think I haven't reached there, yet. If we can expand the scale of our business, some people will be hired. Some people may come to see us. Then the population of meet and mingle must be increased. As a result, I think the numbers will increase later. So I want to aim to simply make our business grow.
When I was making my own guitar, I was able to receive the support from the trial stage from the people in Onagawa town, Kensen carpenters in Rikuzentakata, and a company which manufacture Newer-Metals in Kamaishi. I am always encouraged by the people in the town since I have a base in Onagawa town. I received a lot of support from them. So I want to expand my business in order to return something to the people.
